Abstract:
In an attempt to bring to the fore the strengths and the weaknesses inherent in the scientific method; this paper starts with an analysis of the concepts; science and method. This is followed by an enquiry into the evolvement of the scientific method from the Muslim thinkers to its advent in Europe and Renaissance, and also to the modern day idea of scientific method. The paper further examines the definitions and descriptions of what scientific method refer to, while highlighting the steps that make up the scientific process.
